Northeastern Colorado Heritage League
We are a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation (501c3), whose goal is to promote, preserve, and celebrate the historical, genealogical, and cultural roots of Northeastern Colorado and its people by:
1. Maintaining an online directory of historical/genealogical/cultural organizations and activities in Northeastern Colorado.
2. Developing local information and online links to research sources for communities in the area historically designated as Old Weld County and including the present day counties of Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma.
3. Sponsoring programming and events which celebrate the unique history, genealogy, and culture of the Northeastern Colorado plains and grasslands.
4. Educating both youth and adults in the importance and/or techniques involved in the preservation of the historical, genealogical, and cultural roots of Northeastern Colorado.
5. Supporting historical, genealogical and cultural research and preservation efforts for both residents and visitors to the area.
6. Encouraging the recording and preservation of the area's history, genealogy, and culture.
Our meetings are open to the public and feature programs of interest to local historians, genealogists, and cultural groups. We also sponsor various members-only and community-wide events throughout the year.
